THE 'FOOTBALL ASHES'

OK, so it's not quite Australia but...the Irish are (maybe) coming...

We have been contacted by the Dublin Branch of the Irish Law Society about arranging a perpetual 'Ashes' type trophy, alternating between them coming here and us going there.

In short, they are very keen to come to Liverpool early next year to play football (and presumably have one or two drinks), with the thought that we go over there in 2012 and hopefully begin to build a good reciprocal relationship (presumably based on Guinness).

So it'd be 11 a side and then out into Liverpool for a 'top crac', (Irish) dancing and bad accent impressions (mainly from me)...the question is...are we interested???

We'll need about 14 footballers but also a decent number for the night time event. 2011 shouldn't be hard, it's more whether we think we'll make it over to Dublin in 2012???

Please do let me know if you would be interested, as this could be a fantastic opportunity and we would very much like to get this implemented..I'll even look into England and Ireland kits so that we can feel just like our heroes...
