The Law Society Regional events: May- June 2011 2 CPD hours per session. Overview
In one of the biggest changes to the delivery of legal services, the Legal Services Act allows for the introduction of Alternative Business Structures (ABSs). These enable legal professionals and non-lawyers to share management and control of a practice and will allow outside investment and ownership of law firms.
It is essential that all members are prepared and we encourage attendance at these important seminars. So, how will this affect you? And, are you ready?

Programme: Session 1 - Essential advice on setting up or becoming an ABS
This session is aimed at member firms who are considering becoming an ABS. SRA regulated law firms may consider applying to become an ABS from October 2011.

Session 2 - Strategic advice on successful business models
This session will provide useful advice on business models that should be considered by firms to help secure a competitive future.

This session will help guide members to successfully prepare your firm's ABS response or exit successfully

Registration fee:
- One 2 hour CPD session £50 + VAT = £60.00
- Each additional 2 hour CPD session £25 + VAT = £30.00
